Congratulations to Partners Michael P. Canty and Carol C. Villegas, who were once again named among Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers” in their 2026 guide.  The eighth edition of this list recognizes the top attorneys in plaintiff-side consumer litigation in the United States who are advocating for change to create a better future.

As outstanding plaintiff-side litigators, Michael and Carol are recognized for their impressive leadership and consistent results on behalf of consumers.  In 2025, their outstanding achievements include Frasco v. Flo Health, a historic jury verdict in a landmark data privacy case against tech giant Meta Platforms Inc. which found Meta liable for its role in the unauthorized collection and commercial use of highly personal health data from third-party app Flo Health.  This is one of the first cases where a jury has held a major technology company accountable for its handling of consumer health information, and demonstrates Carol and Michael’s determination and prowess in protecting consumers through litigation.
